An ice cream seller in Turkiye was arrested and his store was sealed earlier this week for allegedly harassing a tourist woman, a Turkish newspaper Hurriyet reported.
According to the newspaper, the incident was captured by the Chamber, after which the ice cream shop in the municipality of Beyoglu in Istanbul was sealed by local authorities.
“An ice cream seller in Beyoglu began interpreting a cone trick for a female tourist and supposedly harassed the woman while trying to take the cone.” Hurriyet reported.
“After the images appeared on social networks, the ice cream shop generated generalized criticism. The teams of the municipality of Beyoglu later sealed the business.”
The mayor of Beyoglu, Inan Guney, took X and published a police video that eliminated the store team, wrote: “Our municipal police teams have sealed the relevant establishment.
“Beyoglu is a district where all women can walk safely, and we will take all measures to ensure that it remains so,” added the publication.
