City of Jerusalem/Gaza: The Minister of Finance of the extreme right of Israel, Bezalel Smotrich, said Sunday that the plan of the president of the United States, Donald Trump, to eliminate the Palestinians of Gaza, beaten by the war, was “taking shape”, despite the generalized rejection of the governments of the region.
“This plan is taking shape, with continuous actions in coordination with the Administration (USA),” Smotrich said an event in the Israeli Parliament, and added that preparations were being prepared to form an administrative body that would supervise the displacement.
“This has the potential to create a historical change in the Middle East and for the state of Israel,” said Smotrich, who has repeatedly supported the resumption of attacks against Hamas and has expressed his support to restore the permanent Israeli presence in the territory.
The plan proposed by Trump would require finding countries willing to enjoy at least some of the 2.4 million people from Gaza Strip, Smotrich said.

“It implies identifying key countries, understanding their interests, both with the United States and the United States, and promoting cooperation,” he said.
Implement the plan, which other Israeli leaders have welcomed but the Palestinians, the Arab governments and some world leaders have condemned, would be a mass logistics operation, Smotrich said.
Triumph plan
Experts have said that by force eliminating Gazans would be equivalent to a violation of international law. Trump had previously presented a widely convicted plan to expel the Palestinians of Gaza, which led Arab leaders to offer an alternative. His proposal would see the reconstruction of Gaza financed through a trustee, with the Palestinian authority based in Ramallah returning to govern the territory.
Relocation scheme
“Just to give it an idea: if we eliminate 10,000 people a day, seven days a week, it will take six months,” he said.
“If we eliminate 5,000 people a day, it will have a year. Of course, this means that we have countries willing to take them, but these are very, very long processes. “
The envoy of Trump’s Middle East, Steve Witkoff, said the Arab Plan was a “first step of good faith of the Egyptians”, even when other Israeli and American officials have expressed reservations.
Smotrich said he was pressing to have Trump’s plan, describing him as “an opportunity to end the conflict” between Israel and the Palestinians.

Electricity cut
Israel’s Minister of Energy, Eli Cohen, said Sunday that he had instructed to stop supplying electricity to Gaza, a week after Israel blocked all the aid in the Palestinian territory devastated by war. The measure has echoes of the first days of the conflict when Israel announced a “siege” that included an electricity limit to Gaza.
“I just signed the order to stop supplying electricity immediately to the Gaza Strip,” Cohen said in a video statement, added: “We will use all the tools at our disposal to recover the prisoners and ensure that Hamas is no longer in Gaza the next day” the conflict.
The only energy line between Israel and Gaza supplies the main water desalination plant in the territory, which serves more than 600,000 people.
Gazanes depend mainly on solar panels and fuel generators for electricity. The connection with the desalination plant was cut after October 7, 2023, before connecting again in July 2024. But the plant could not resume operations until December of that year, since the electricity lines had been too damaged by the war.
Last weekend, Israel announced that it was blocking Gaza aid deliveries until the Palestinians accepted their terms for an extension of the high fire that had largely stopped more than 15 months of struggle. The first phase of the truce, which ended on March 1, had allowed the entry of vital food, refuge and medical assistance.
Israeli media reported on Monday that Netanyahu planned to exert “maximum pressure” on Hamas in the next week to accept an extension of the first phase under the terms of Israel.
The public station Kan said that Israel has written plans to increase the pressure under a scheme called “Hell Plan.”
