The president of the United States, Donald Trump, said in a Fox News The interview was broadcast on Sunday that a buyer found for the application of social networks of Tiktok, which described as a group of “very rich people” whose identities will reveal in approximately two weeks.
Trump made the comments in an interview in Fox News Program ‘Futuro Sunday morning with Maria Bartiromo’ and said that the agreement he is developing would probably need China’s approval to move forward, predicting that Chinese President Xi Jinping would probably approve it.
The president of the United States, earlier this month, extended a deadline for the Bytete based in China to disiniate Tiktok assets in the United States as of September 17, despite a law that demanded a sale or closure without significant progress.
This spring had been in process that would have passed American operations from Tiktok to a new company based in the United States, owned by the majority and operated by US investors, but was suspended after China indicated that it would not approve it after Trump ads of steep tariffs on Chinese products.
“We have a buyer for Tiktok, by the way,” Trump said. “I think I will probably need China’s approval. I think President XI will probably do it.”
A 2024 United States Law required Tiktok stopping working before January 19, unless Byteyance had completed the disinvestment of application assets in the United States or demonstrated significant progress towards a sale.
Trump, who accredits the application to boost their support among young voters in the presidential elections last November, has extended the deadline three times.
