Nueva Delhi: Haryana Minister Anil Vij said Thursday that the president of the United States, Donald Trump, is not wrong in his decision to deport illegal immigrants from the United States, and added that each country has the right to expel who enter illegally.
Vij’s comment occurred after 104 illegal Indian immigrants were deported in an American military plane that landed at Amritsar airport on Wednesday. This was the first batch of Indians deported by the United States Government.
Many of the deportees, who had made dangerous trips in many nations to reach the United States, were handcuffed and chained during the 12 -hour trip from Texas to Amritsar.
The United States is moving to deport thousands of illegal immigrants after President Donald Trump signed an executive order on his first day in the White House.
In the Minister of Affairs Nri de Punjab, Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, urging the Prime Minister to discuss deportation with the president of the United States, Vij declared: “If a person goes to another country illegally, then that nation has all the right to expel them. And Trump did not make any mistakes.
“I say that I take an example. Lakhs of people are illegal in this country … They were born elsewhere, but we feed them. They should be sent back to their respective countries,” he added.
From the first lot of deportees who arrived on Wednesday at 33 were from Haryana and Gujarat each, 30 from Punjab, three each of Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh, and two from Chandigarh.
Punjab Minister Dhaliwal also begged Prime Minister Modi to speak with his “friend” President Trump about the deportation of the Indians.
