Washington-the American interim prosecutor of the New Jersey Alina Haba district, who previously served as a lawyer and spokesman for President Donald Trump, was replaced by a deputy after the expiration of his 120-day mandate, according to an order of the federal state judge.
Desiree Leigh Grace has been appointed US prosecutor. The order means that the judges refused to extend the interim role of Haba, which he assumed on March 24.
He had made numerous appearances in the media during his time in office and had been subject to his statements, as well as his decision to charge the Lamonica Mciver representative, Dn.J., for a confrontation with the application of the law in a center for the detention of immigration control and customs control in Newark in May. A Federal Grand Jury later accused McIver for three positions, and declared himself innocent.
In a position X on Monday, the attached attorney general Todd Blanche said that there was “the full confidence of the leadership of the Department of Justice because he is doing the job, aggressively, independently and for the book” and said that “the district judges should not be influenced by political noise”, urging them to “keep it in their place.”
The United States Prosecutor’s Office for the New Jersey district did not immediately respond to a request for comments.
Trump has nominated Habba to assume the position permanently, but the nomination has not yet advanced in the Senate Judicial Committee.
