Trump administration claims Columbia violated Title VI, threatening university’s accreditation

The Trump Administration said Wednesday that it has notified the Colder of the University of Columbia that the school violated the title IV, threatening the state of accreditation of the University by saying that “it no longer seems to comply with the standards of commission accreditation.”

The Office of Civil Rights of the Department of Education of the United States (OCR) and the Office of Civil Rights of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS OCR) “determined that Columbia University acted with deliberate indifference towards the harassment of Jewish students, thus violating title VI of the Civil Rights Law of 1964”, according to the press release of the Department of Education.

The statement says that the school has been in violation since the war began in the Middle East on October 7, 2023, when Hamas invaded Israel.
