Gilgit: The Alpine Club of Pakistan has said that the country’s tourism industry has received a significant impulse with its recent achievement in the New York Travel and Adventure Show 2025.
In a statement on Sunday, Secretary Alpine Club del Pakistan, Karrar Haideri, said that Pakistan won the Pavilion award for the best game in the New York Show, which was a “remarkable milestone that strengthens the global image of the country as one of the main travel destinations for tourists in the world. “
The statement said that visitors, particularly those associated with mountaineering, adventure tourism and religious tourism, showed great interest in Pakistan’s tourist potential in the event.
The increase in royalty rates for climbing and trekking expeditions was also discussed during the show at the Pakistan Consulate in New York.
A delegation from the Association of Toural Operators of Pakistan (Pato), directed by Vice President Senior Nasir Hussain, expressed concern about a GB government delegation for the recent increase in royalty fees for climbing and trekking expeditions.

The delegation said the measure could discourage international mountaineers and hikers in addition to affect 8,000 meters.

New York Travel Show
The two -day show was held in New York on January 25 and 26.
GB’s Prime Minister Gulbar Khan, Pakistan Ambassador, in the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, GB Ghulam Muhammad, Minister of Tourism, Minister of Planning and Development Raja Nasir Ali Khan, general consultation of Pakistan in New York Aamer Ahmed Atozai , Minister of Commerce and Investments in New York Adnan Mahmood Awan, representatives of the Tourism Development Corporation of Pakistan (PTDC) and officials of four provincial governments and the departments of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and GB Tourism were present in the Pakistan pavilion.
The PTDC and the Commercial Development Authority of Pakistan had jointly established the tourism pavilion in collaboration with the Consulate General of Pakistan, New York.
A total of 15 private Pakistani companies from the four provinces, the AJK and GB and PTDC Tourism departments had established their cabins in the pavilion, showing Pakistani products and tourist destinations in Pakistan.
This New York event is the largest travel program in the United States and is organized annually for travel lovers around the world to come to the program to discover new destinations to make plans for their upcoming trips and get help.
