New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Vice Minister Minister Brash Pathak The central government praised Jal Jeevan mission (JJM), which as he helped significantly improve the water supply mechanism in the country.
Speaking at the Water Summit of Toi 2025, Deputy CM said that Uttar Pradesh took a great step in the implementation of the scheme.
Pathak highlighted how the population increase led to water scarcity and shed light on the ways in which Pradesh has adopted to meet the demand for water.
“When humans progressed, we tried to mold the environment according to our desires. Humans would not have had to build deposits such as natural deposits such as rivers, waterfalls or rainwater satisfied our daily needs. Then, the population was less. But an increase in the population led to an increase in water consumption, the merger of glaciers and the reduction of rainwater in the lots,” Paton said.
The CM deputy thanked Prime Minister Modi for the Jal Jeevan mission (JJM), saying that the prime minister has made efforts to guarantee the implementation in the JMM field to complete a larger objective.
He said that UP “has done wonders in the implementation” of JJM, and added “we have witnessed the implementation of the scheme and congratulated” all officials linked to JJM and irrigation. “
“The previous houses had small water tanks for water storage, but Prime Minister Modi assured the availability of fresh drinking water in each house. Uttar Pradesh has been number one in the effort. We are moving forward with a purpose,” Pathak said.
Affirming that the UP government, under cm yogi aadityanath, made unprecedented progress in the implementation of JMM, Pathak said: “From now on, the water supply is being ensured in 24,050 villages. Our connection has reached 2.36 Crore houses, 37, 462 pump houses. We have performed a deep boring of 38,456 pipes.”
He said that the UP government has also given importance to an alternative source of energy.
“Our equipment was aware of how water would be accessible in the absence of electricity. Therefore, the entire system is based on solar energy. We produce electricity, we execute our pump houses, we supply water and send additional electricity to the network. This is a great effort under JJM,” said the minister.
