Tiktok often popularizes songs by the greatest and most blunt artists of music.
But one of the most viral songs at this time was recorded in 1961.
More than six decades ago, singer Connie Francis recorded enough music to fill three albums. Buried in the back of one of those albums was the song “Pretty Little Baby”.
It was not as popular as his other successes of the time, including “Stupid Cupid” and “Who sorry now?”
But in recent weeks, the forgotten song has found a new life in Tiktok. Millions of videos have been created with the song in the Audio-Forward application. It has appeared in videos, from everyday users to influential people and popular celebrities. Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner appear in videos established in the melody of the 60s.
The song broadcasts are growing. It is now in some of the spotify reproduction lists of popular and viral songs.
Francis published about his viral success on Facebook, wrote: “My thanks to Tiktok and its members for the wonderful and such unexpected reception.”
She wrote that she was “clearly out of contact”, because when she discovered that the song was in Tiktok, her initial answer was asking: “What is that?”
But it is no longer out of contact.
Francis is now on Tiktok. He has not yet published on the popular platform, but his page presents the art work of the song album.
