Three killed in rival group gunfire over ‘personal enmity’ in KP’s Malakand, says local official – Pakistan

At least three people died and four others, including a woman, were injured in an exchange of shooting between two rival groups in the Kharkai area of Dargai Tehsil in the Malakand district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a local official said on Monday.

“Violence was caused by a personal dispute,” said Dargai’s commissioner Shahbaz Khan Dawn.com.

He confirmed that two men of a group and one on the opposite side were killed in the shooting.

Rescue officials transported the deceased already injured to the Tehsil Hospital in Dargai, while one of the seriously injured people was referred to the Mardan medical complex to receive additional treatment.

Levones’ force was rapidly deployed in the area to avoid greater violence and ensure the scene. The authorities have launched an investigation to determine the complete details of the incident.

“This seems to be the result of a long -standing personal enmity,” said Ac Khan, added that more consultations are being made.

Last month, two people, including a woman, were killed and another 11 wounds after the unidentified men opened fire against a group of people returning from a funeral in the Gumbat Ganda chashma area in the KOhat district of KP, an attack that the police said it was motivated by a personal enmity.

In February of this year, five people were killed during a shooting in the Badaber area of Peshawar in what the police described as personal enmity as a reason.
