Three police officers were injured in a Granada attack against Karachi Preedy police station on Friday night, police said.
The deputy inspector (DIG) South Syed Asad Raza said Dawn.com These unidentified people threw a grenade at the police station, wounding three police personnel members, namely Riaz Ahmed, 36, Amir Zafar Iqbal, 34, and Mohammed Arshad, 52.
The injured police officers were transferred to a hospital where it is claimed that their condition was out of danger.
Citing experts in pump elimination squadrons, the official said it was a Granada attack.
He added that grenades attacks in the southern district of Karachi were carried out by Baloch’s Liberation Front (BLF) or Lyari gangs.
The police officer linked previous attacks, one in 2024 and another this year, with the BLF.
The excavation said that Lyari gangs were also known for the attacks of grenades against the police. However, in the recent past, Lyari gangs had not carried out an important attack against the agencies of application of the law.
The excavation said that, apart from BLF, they also suspected the participation of separatist elements of the Sindhudesh revolutionary army.

The third important terrorist act took place in Daudpota Road in Saddar, in which a bicycle equipped with bombs was used, killing a citizen and recently hurting nine other people.
