Nueva Delhi: The president of the United States, Donald Trump, has once again raised concerns about the financing allocation of $ 18 million of USAID for the elections in India, questioning the justification behind expenses abroad instead of focusing in the participation of American voters.
Speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), Trump suggested to return to paper ballots and proposed to seek the help of India with the electoral processes.
“18 million dollars to help India with their choices. Why the hell? Why don’t we go to the old paper tickets and let them help us with their choices, right? Id voter. Wouldn’t it be good ?
“They take advantage of us quite well. One of the highest nations in the world. We try to sell something. They have a rate of 200 percent. And then we are giving them a lot of money to help them with their choice,” he added.
Criticism follows Trump’s continuous scrutiny of USAID funds in several nations. Previously, he alleged the participation of the United States in the electoral results in India.

“And $ 21 million going to my friend’s prime minister in India for the participation of voters. We are giving 21 million for the participation of voters in India. What about us? I want the participation of voters too,” Trump said.
“$ 29 million to strengthen the political landscape in Bangladesh went to a company that nobody has heard. We obtain 29 million from the United States.
Trump also described financing as an “overload scheme”, pointing out the lack of transparency in its implementation.
