Nueva Delhi: The eye witnesses reported the horror of the stampede that exploded in Sangam, Maha Kumbh, on the early Wednesday in the morning, leaving multiple injured.
An eyewitness described the heartbreaking experience in the stampede where a member disappeared. “My sister, dust sister, everyone was there. But a person was missing. They dragged him and took him. He fell. He fell …”, he told Ians.

An eyewitness reported how the emergency response at the world’s largest religious meeting in Prayagraj was delayed despite multiple calls for help. “We call the CRPF and the police have long been, but nobody has yet come. It has been half an hour and we have taken our person to the hospital …” he said.

Vidhya Sahu, another devotee who traveled to attend the religious meeting of Karnataka, witnessed the stampede narrated how the situation got out of control due to the crowd and people were trapped in a nearby post. “We have come from Belagavi, Karnataka. We were walking when people from behind pushed us and took us. There was a post in the opposite direction, and everyone got caught near him …” he said.

Jay Prakash Swami, who was in the Sangam with his family, recalled how a family member had been caught in the crowd and could not get up. “She had been trapped under the crowd and could not get up. We were trapped in the crowd. I was the first to go out, then I helped the children and my father and my mother …” he said.

Another devote who waits for a partner who disappeared in the stampede said: “We were trapped in the crowd. As soon as we arrived near the Sangam, there were chaos. We managed to get out of the crowd, but we fall and we lost our way we do not know Where are we.

In an attempt to stay together and avoid getting stuck in the midst of the mass meeting, devotees were seen holding each other wearing clothing as improvised ropes.

Adityanath attracted people to bathe on the coast of bargain closer to them and avoid going to Sangam’s nose.
