The New York Post is launching a California newspaper

The struggle of the Murdoch family, the American daily tabloid is directed to California.

The New York Post Media Group said Monday that it will launch a newspaper on the west coast in the style of its homonym of the Eastern Coast. California’s post will be a daily newspaper in the New York Post mold, with an early model that leans in its usual headlines and the interests of the cultural war: Sydney Sweeney with the headline “we dream of Jean-Y”.

The expansion of the Murduoch family business, which also includes Fox News, Padre Fox Corp., is among the largest movements since Lachlan Murdoch took control of the media empire built by his father, Rupert Murdoch, 94, in 2023.

News Corp., which publishes the position, also faces a considerable lawsuit by President Donald Trump against one of his other documents, the Wall Street Journal, related to an article on Trump’s relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.

The New York Post, which has been publishing since 1801, has remained a conservative voice in a region of what is otherwise inclined to the left, supporting the ups and downs of modern media by sticking to their strengths: spotted holders and aggressive reports on local crime, politics and sports, along with a valid right perspective.

California, Los Angeles in particular, has become a point of inflammation in American culture and politics. The considerable protests against immigration rags and the questioned comments of Governor Gavin Newsom have made the State the objective of Trump’s wrath.

The News Corp. CEO, Robert Thomson, nodded in the post and his inclination in a press release for the California newspaper.

“Los Angeles and California surely need a daily dose of the position as an antidote for journalism and tired that has proliferated sadly,” Thomson said.

Los Angeles is home to a wide variety of media, including Los Angeles Times and many publications focused on entertainment, such as Variety and The Hollywood Reporter, as well as new participants, especially TMZ, owned by Fox Corp.

California’s post will have its headquarters in Los Angeles and led by Nick Pool, who was more recently a weekend editor in The Herald Sun, an important Australian and subsidiary newspaper of News Corp. was also a correspondent on the west coast for Herald Sun.

Having its headquarters outside the State has not prevented the New York Post from covering the news from California, but the post -chief editor Keith Poole said that the publications will make the state focus.

California “is the epicenter of entertainment, the AI revolution and advanced manufacturing, not to mention a sports power,” Poole said in the press release, adding that he believes that the State lacks “journalism based on common sense problems.”
