Srinagar Jammu: Prime Minister Omar Abdullah said Monday that it would not be possible to end the militancy in J & K without people’s support. His comments arrived in the middle of a continuous search in Jammu’s Kathua For the terrorists who had attacked the security forces on Sunday, leaving a seven -year -old girl injured in the crossfire.
“We are making all efforts (to end the militancy), although it is not our responsibility directly,” Omar told journalists outside the assembly when asked about the search for terrorists along the Pakistan border in the area of Sanyal de Hiranagar de Kathua.
Omar pointed out that the security, law and order were not under the control of the government chosen in J & K after the region became a territory of the Union after the abrogation of special status in 2019 under article 370. “The elected government is making attempts and supporting (Lieutenant Governor of the Center of the Center of the Center Sinha) to maintain the situation under control,” said the CM.
When asked about a stream in terror in Kathua, Omar recalled that such attacks had also been reported by Rajouri-Ponch’s belt. On Sunday night, the forces seized weapons, including AK-47, ammunition and IED of a hiding place in the upper area of Sangla de Surankote de Poonch.
Referring to the ongoing operations in Sanyal de Kathua, Omar said that the information so far was suggested that no contact with the terrorists had been established.

Anita Devi, the woman trapped by the terrorists, said that she and her husband Ganesh had gone to collect firewood. “They kept us hostage, but I escaped. The terrorists spoke a mixed local language. Later, my husband also gave them the slip and informed forces,” said Anita.
