The authorities in Tennessee found 14 improvised explosive devices in a man’s house while arrested this week under suspicion of threatening officials, said the Sheriff’s Office of the Polk County.
Sheriff’s deputies and detectives went to an address on Friday that sought to arrest Kevin Wade O’Neal by active orders. O’Neal was accused of threatening to kill public officials and personnel of application of the law in the county, according to a statement from the Sheriff’s office.
While they stopped, they noticed something burning in the bedroom where they found O’Neal and determined that it was an FDA, the authorities said.
The officers and agents of the Pump Squadron of the Office of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives that registered the house found 14 FD on, said the sheriff’s office. The detectives said that O’Neal’s plan was to detonate the bombs when the police arrived to arrest it.
O’Neal, 54, faces a series of positions, including 11 positions of first degree murder attempt, 14 positions of prohibited weapons and a position of possession of explosive components, said the Sheriff’s office.
The positions of murder attempt are related to the staff of the Sheriff’s office that responds and two other people who were on the scene, the office said.

The Sheriff’s office said O’Neal is being held in the Polk County prison and that Bond has not yet been determined. It was not clear immediately if he had legal representation.
