Islamabad: The Capital Police announced on Tuesday the arrest of the suspect in the case of murder of a social networks influencer, who was shot dead at home at the G-13 on Monday.
Going to an insignified press conference, the Police General Inspector (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi said that after the murder of Sana Yousuf, 17, seven police teams were formed under the supervision of excavation operations, Jawad Tariq. These teams conducted a technical investigation, analyzing social media accounts and more than 300 call records. Images from Safe City Islamabad and private cameras were also obtained.
The suspect was arrested from Faisalabad within 20 hours of the incident. In addition, the victim’s mobile phone and the murderer recovered from their power.
“The ruthless murderer took the phone with him after the murder to destroy the evidence. To stop the defendant, raids were carried out in more than 11 locations in three cities. The defendant is an 22 -year -old unemployed man who tried to repeatedly contact the victim. His refusal to respond, he committed the murder.”

After the case registration, the researchers collected images of CCTV of cameras installed around the victim’s house and Safe City, who revealed that the suspect had reached Chungi no 26 and boarded a passenger vehicle to Faisalabad.
The geographical of the area also confirmed the presence of the suspect in the G-13 and later in Chungi no 26. The police made a raid in Faisalabad, arrested the suspect and took him to Islamabad.
NCSW demands transparent investigation
Meanwhile, the National Women’s State Commission (NCSW) condemned the cold blood murder of the young Tiktoker and said that the atrocious act was a marked reminder of the deeply rooted patriarchal violence that continues to deprive women and girls of their fundamental right to life.
The president of NCSW, Ume Laila Azhar, demanded an immediate, transparent and exhaustive investigation into the crime. She said that perpetrators must be prosecuted to the maximum extension of the law.
“We will not let this case be buried under the social stigma, the false narratives of honor or the procedural lagoons. This meaningless murder highlights the vulnerability of women and girls, even in their own homes. We demand justice for healthy and their family, and we hope that the State guarantees the responsibility of the perpetrators.”
Burial in Chitral
The victim’s body was buried in his ancestral cemetery in the town of Chuinj de Upper Chitral on Tuesday.
