Two police officers were killed and two others injured in a shooting attack against a police station near the Turkish city of Izmir on Monday, with a 16 -year -old suspect arrested, said a minister.
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said that the “atrocious” attack against the police station in Balcova, a district west of the tourist city, left two dead officers and a third “seriously injured.”
“The suspect of the incident, 16 -year -old EB, has been arrested and an investigation has been opened,” he wrote in X.
