Maoists kidnapped and murdered two villagers in Dantewada district Chhattisgarh’s enough on Wednesday night, accusing them of working for the police. One of them is a ‘Shikshadot’ (teacher), whom the insurgents said they had a key role in last year’s encounter in Thulthuli in which they killed 38 Maoists.
The victims Baman Kashyap (29) and Anish Ram Poyam (38) were dragged from their homes by a group of armed maoists, taken to a near and strangled forest. In the morning, the villagers found their bodies thrown on the outskirts. A handwritten brochure left by Maoist accused the duo of working as police informants and held the police officers responsible for their death.
