A suspect who allegedly filmed female customers with his mobile phone in the changing rooms of a clothing store in Khanewal was remanded in judicial custody on Monday, police said.
Khanewal City Station House Officer (SHO) Muhammad Saeed said dawn.com that the suspect, who worked for clothing brand Limelight, was brought before a judge today after videos were found on his phone.
“The judge remanded him to judicial custody,” SHO Saeed said, adding that the suspect was arrested on Sunday.
A first information report (FIR) on the complaint of the SHO was lodged at Khanewal City Police Station under Section 21-1D (offences against indecentity of a natural person and a minor) of the Police Act on Saturday. Prevention of Electronic Crimes of 2016 and Sections 354 (assault or criminal force on a woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 509 (insulting modesty or causing sexual harassment) of the Code Pakistan Penitentiary.
According to the FIR, the suspect was a store employee who allegedly filmed female customers while they were changing clothes in the fitting rooms and also made advances to customers.

The SHO said he formed a raiding party and visited the store, arresting an employee whose mobile phone yielded several compromising videos.
The FIR added that the suspect admitted his crimes and also pointed out the involvement of two or three other unidentified accomplices.
