Suspect remanded in police custody as SHC moved for exhumation of Mustafa Amir’s body – Pakistan

Karachi: An anti -terrorist court on Saturday withdrew a suspect in police custody in a case related to the kidnapping and murder of a young man in the defense housing authority.

Mustafa Amir was kidnapped from the DHA on January 6 and two weeks later, her family had received a rescue call. During the course of the investigation, the police arrested the friend of victim Armaghan after a shooting, but could not obtain his physical return from the court to interrogate him.

On Saturday, the investigator officer produced another suspect, Sheraz, also known as Shavez Bukhari, a friend from Armaghan, and looked for his custody for the interrogation.

The IO said that during the initial interrogation, the suspect had revealed that Armaghan had called Mustafa in his DHA residence, killed him after submitting him to torture and burn the body along with his hub car.

The judge sent the suspect in police custody until February 21 and ordered the IO to produce it at the next hearing along with a progress report.

Exhumation plea

The victim’s mother also transferred a request in the Court, looking for a directive for the interested authorities to exhume her son’s body.

The magistrate’s refusal to Armaghan’s return challenged in SHC

The Prosecutor’s Office said that Armaghan was arrested during a raid at his residence in DHA on February 8 after a shooting that caused bullet injuries to a DSP and a police officer, while the police had also obtained a cell phone from the deceased and He found blood of blood. Subsequently, the IO had brought the suspect before the court and sought his physical return to interrogate him, but the judge rejected the request and sent it to prison in judicial prison.

The Interim Attorney General of Sindh Muntazir Mehdi said that the Prosecutor’s Office had approached the Sindh Superior Court to challenge the order approved by the administrative judge of ATC that denies the physical custody of the main suspicious Armaghan.

It was of the opinion that it was an atrocious crime and the suspicious key was sent to jail even before the investigation could begin. He said his physical custody was necessary for research.

He also said that another ATC order, transmitted by a request presented by Armaghan’s father in search of a FIR registration against the Raiding Police party, had also been challenged before the SHC and such matters were probably occupied for A audience on Monday.
