The Federal Research Agency (FIA) arrested on Monday a suspect involved in an alleged “anti-state campaign” on social networks about the Jaffar Express train attack of Banigala on the outskirts of Islamabad and was then produced before a judge, who sent him to a physical removal for three days.
The recent attack in Baluchistan occurred on Tuesday afternoon when the train, which was traveling from Quetta to Peshawar and transported 440 passengers, was ambushed by the terrorists of the Baluchistan Liberation Army (Bla). They opened fire on the train and kept passengers as hostages, which led the security forces to start an operation that lasted two days.
On Wednesday night, the general director of Public Relations between Services (ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, confirmed that the operation had been completed, with 33 murdered terrorists. The ISPR chief also said that 26 hostages, including 18 security personnel, lost their lives, but no hostage was damaged during the final rescue phase. Five more security personnel were martyred during the operation.
According to an order, signed by the high civil judge Mohammad Abbas Shah, the investigation officer requested an eight -day return for “investigation and recovery.”
However, the judge approved a three -day physical return, in accordance with the order observed by Dawn.comAdding that the suspect must now occur before the Court on Thursday.
According to a statement issued by a FIA spokesman, the suspect, identified as Haider Saeed, was arrested during a raid in Banigala for “spreading a hate campaign against state institutions.”
The suspect had “shared negative propaganda and derogatory content against institutions during the tragedy of Jaffar Express,” the statement added.
The FIA also cited its participation in “supporting and promoting prohibited terrorist organizations in social networks” and said that the suspect “not only directed a poisonous campaign against state institutions, but also continued to share inflammatory statements and content in favor of terrorists.”
An investigation began taking the accounts of the social networks and the digital evidence of the suspect, the statement added, warning that strict measures would be taken against him.
The FIA cybercrime wing presented a first information report (FIR) on March 16, whose copy is available with Dawn.com. The FIR explained that the suspect supposedly propagated false and misleading information on social networks.
The FIR said: “[The suspect] You are sharing highly intimidating content/tweets on social networks/Twitter … “
Also stated: “In addition, the user […] Highly intimidating tweet propagated glorifying the forbidden outfit, that is, the Baluchistan Liberation Army […] With the criminal intention to coerce, intimidate, create a sense of fear and panic/insecurity in the government and the public.
“Such intimidating content […] To glorify the forbidden outfit Bla and its terrorist activities, it clearly covers the insurgency in the state and a mischievous act of subversion to damage the state of Pakistan. ”
A YouTube channel, supposedly from Saeed, shows pro-PTI videos as old as November 2022.
A publication of the official PTI account yesterday described Saeed yesterday a “activist and committed defender of Imran Khan”. He cited his father stating that his residence was raided by the “police and intelligence staff.”
Ade hits PTI for the ‘poisonous’ campaign
Meanwhile, Punjab Minister of Information, Bokhari Azma, criticized the PTI to allegedly carry out a “poison” campaign against state and security forces.
Speaking in the Jaffar Express incident, she said: “In these times, it must keep political divisions aside and stand with their country and institutions. [But] There is a party that always runs a poisonous anti-state campaign, especially against security forces and our enemies take advantage of that. “
She highlighted the participation of the Indian media during the incident. “His media were prepared and had images of AI to execute during the incident to give the impression that Pakistan is a failed state.”
“The campaign [by PTI] It was the same as the Indian media, ”said Bokhari, claiming that the similarities were not coincident.
“There were tweets from the official Mango X Party in support of the terrorists,” added PML-N leader.
Azma also criticized KP’s prime minister, Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, to ignore security concerns in his province.
“KP is on the first line of terrorism, but CM Gandapur held a press conference on Afghan policy that says they should not be expelled,” he added.
He highlighted Afghanistan’s participation in recent terrorist attacks such as the Incident of the Express Jaffar and Bannu’s attack, stating: “Gandapur is more concerned about the Afghan people than those of KP.”
