The Canadian summer McIntosh broke the FreeSyle Freesyle world record of 400 female meters on Saturday night, touching the wall in three minutes 54.18 seconds in national swimming tests in Victoria.
McIntosh eclipsed the brand established by Ariarne Titmus of Australia (3: 55.38) in 2023 in the World Championship in Fukuoka, Japan.
“Upon entering tonight that my training had been strong in the last two months and I knew I could do something special, but I didn’t think it would be so fast,” said McIntosh, who established the record in more than a second, told Devin Heroux de CBC.

The McIntosh de Toronto summer wins the 400 -meter female free style final in the Canadian swimming tests of Victoria, BC, with a world record time of 3:54:18.
After becoming the first woman to swim below 3: 55.00, the world record performance even surprised the three times Olympic champion.
“I really didn’t expect that time,” he said. “Just seeing the time after two years of really pushing the hardest every day … and finally having an incredible bath is really satisfactory.”

After listening to the American icon Micheal Phelps was the last to establish a world record in the same Victoria group, Mcintosh shared a smile before saying: “I have always admired Michael, he is the goat of swimming.”
The event on Saturday night is just the beginning for McIntosh. She still has races in the freestyle of 800 m feminine, 200m Freestyle, 200m Butterfly and the individual medleyas of 200 my 400 m.
“I am really excited to see what I can do in the next few days.”
Masse takes 100 meters back
The five -time Olympic medalist, Kylie Masse won the back blow of 100 female meters in 58.18 seconds, hitting her own time, swam in Paris 2024.

“This year has been different for me, just taking a little step back, but obviously at the same time it is still working.”

And with that step back, Masse added that being able to spend time with their loved ones “fills their cup in another way.”
After eliminating his Canadian Record by Canadian back a few weeks ago, Masse told CBC Sports “I feel that I have a different perspective about sport and I am really grateful to be here and be able to leave a time faster than in the Olympic Games.”
Mary-Sophie Harvey, from Laval, who, won the 200 meters of women in a better personal time of 2: 23.40. It was also his first victory in the tests.
“It’s crazy,” Harvey told Devin Heroux from CBC Sports. “I was telling my coach that I never won an event in the tests. I think I’ve had many seconds places, and I never thought it would be the 200 chest for the first. I am quite happy where I am now.”

- Ali Diehl, Prince Albert, Sask, 100 m women of women (SB9) (1: 24.44).
- Nicholas Bennett, Parksville, BC, stroke for men of 100 m (SB14) (1: 05.13).

Katie Ledecky dominates 1,500m for the third US title.
Katie Ledecky won his third national title of the week on Saturday when he sailed to a victory in the 1500 female meters in the United States Swimming Championship in Indianapolis.
Ledecky won the event in 15 minutes, 36.76 seconds, which was 16 seconds of the world record that established in 2018.
“I just wanted to put together a quite uniform swim, maintain a good rhythm,” Ledecky said later. “That hurt, but I’ll take it.”
Ledecky had a great advantage throughout the race. Jillian Cox finished 29 seconds behind 16: 05.88 and Kate Hurst arrived at the wall in 16: 16.06.
Ledecky obtained titles in the 400 and 800 meters before at the match.
