Nueva Delhi-the southern state of Kerala de la India has found a unique ambassador to promote its beaches, gathering and vibrant culture of Coconut Palm, a British F-35 combat plane that has been stranded there since mid-June.
The Royal Navy plane was forced to make an emergency landing at the airport of the state capital Thiruvananthapuram on June 14 and has been punished since then, despite the efforts to repair it.
An image generated by AI of the stealthy plane parked in the asphalt surrounded by coconuts has gone viral after the Kerala Tourism Department shared it on Wednesday.
“This was part of our tourist campaign. It has been one of the most innovative and striking … everything is in good mood and creativity,” Kerala’s Secretary of Tourism told Reuters.
In the publication of viral social networks, originally created by The Fauxy entertainment website, you can see the plane that gives the state of Kerala Five Stars, calling it “an incredible place.”
“I don’t want to leave. I definitely recommend,” says the image, quotes the plane.
“Although tourism is under the government, it has moved from the government space to promote fate,” said Roy Mathew, director of Stark Communications, the brand promotion agency of the Tourism Department.
Kerala is among the most popular tourist destinations in India, and is marketed with the motto ‘The country of God’ itself. Last year, 22.2 million tourists visited the State.
It has natural beauty along the southwest coast of India and a rich inheritance of classic dances, temple festivals and vibrant cuisine.
The Indian Air Force said last month that it would help in the repair and return of the F-35, which made an emergency landing on June 14 when it flew over the Arabic sea off the coast of Kerala.
A spokesman for the British High Commission told Reuters that the United Kingdom had accepted an offer to transfer the plane to the repair and review of maintenance at the airport. The plane will move to the hangar once the engineering teams arrive from the United Kingdom with specialized equipment, added the spokesman.
The Royal Navy did not immediately respond to a request for comments.
The United Kingdom’s Armed Forces Minister Luke Pollard said Monday in Parliament that a team from the Royal Air Force was in Thiruvananthapuram and working with Indian counterparts.
