NEW DELHI: YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, known online as BeerBiceps, was rescued from a near-drowning incident in Goa on Christmas Eve. Allahbadia said he and his girlfriend were swimming in the ocean when they got caught in an underwater current.
Allahbadia recounted the experience in an Instagram post on Christmas. He and his girlfriend, both experienced swimmers, were fighting against the current.
“Merry Christmas everyone, from Goa. It has been the most hectic Christmas of my life. I will be very vulnerable in this article. We are perfectly fine now. But yesterday at 6:00 pm or so, my girlfriend and I had to be rescued of a small situation,” Allahbadia wrote.
“We both love swimming in the open sea. I’ve been doing this since I was a child. But yesterday we were swept away by an underwater current. This has happened to me before, but I’ve never been with a partner. It’s easy to get out of one alone , it’s very difficult to take someone out with you,” he said.
“After a 5-10 minute struggle, we called for help and were quickly rescued by a family of 5 swimming nearby. We are both good swimmers, but the fury of nature is such that it will test your limits at some point. , fun splash in the waves was interrupted by an underwater current that knocked us both down, the next thing we knew we were both struggling to stay afloat,” the post read.
Sharing several photos from his trip, Ranveer narrated the ordeal and said, “There was a time during the ordeal when I swallowed a lot of water and started fainting a little. That’s when I decided to shout for help. Deep gratitude to the family of the IPS officer’s husband and the IRS officer’s wife who saved us both.
“This experience left us feeling blank and grateful. We felt God’s protection throughout the incident. As we move towards Christmas today, we are simply filled with gratitude to be alive. We almost feel like this life experience has changed. my perspective on life,” he said, without revealing his girlfriend’s identity in the publication.
“I write this because I have always shared these moments with all of you. Today I am full of emotion and gratitude. A deep gratitude and a big hug to each of you who read this!
“I guess 2025 will be more blessed than ever. We live for a reason! Merry Christmas to all of you and your families. Thank you God, for life!” Ranveer said, ending the post.
