New Delhi: The stage is ready for the elections of the High Risk Delhi Assembly, since voters will choose a new assembly on Thursday. A total of 699 candidates are in the fray for 70 seats. The vote will begin at 7 am at 13,766 electoral centers for 1.56 million voters who are eligible to cast their vote. Arvind Kejriwal’s AAM AAM AAMS is in a fierce contest with the BJP for his third consecutive victory. AAP had swept the surveys winning 62 seats in 2020 and 67 in 2015. This time, around it, faces a strong BJP challenge. Congress also hopes to return after a decade in the territory of the Union.
AAP seeks the third term
Directed by Arvind Kejriwal, the AAM AADMI party is looking for a third consecutive mandate, banking its governance record and well -being schemes. On Monday, Kejriwal together with Delhi’s prime minister, Atishi, celebrated three demonstrations to obtain a last minute impulse.
Kejriwal resigned from the main capital work after bail was granted in the case of corruption of special tax policy in September last year. While resigning, he had said that it would only be the role of the prime minister after he gave him a “honesty certificate.”
AAP Supreme has affirmed that his party will ensure at least 55 to 60 seats. In the last two elections, AAP decimated both BJP and Congress, winning 62 seats in 2020 and 67 seats in 2015.
BJP plans to return after 25 years
On the other hand, the Bharatiya Janata (BJP) party is making a determined impulse to claim the capital after more than 25 years. Throughout his campaign, BJP addressed the AAP government about the alleged corruption positions against Kejriwal and other party leaders. The party has also reached the “failed promise” of the AAP to clean the Yamuna River and administer the landfills of excess use, the management of poor waste and the non -adherence to the guidelines under the solid waste management statutes.
The Interior Minister of the Union, Amit Shah, the Minister of Defense Rajnath Singh, the president of BJP, JP Nadda, and several main ministers of BJP were at the forefront until the last day of the campaign.
The promise of Congress to bring back the golden era of Sheila Dikshit
The Congress, which ruled Delhi for 15 years until 2013, strives to organize a return after not winning a single seat in the two previous elections. The great part intensified their efforts to return after a decade when Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi made road shows and demonstrations aimed at AAP and BJP.
As the campaign advanced, Congress officials, giving examples of Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka and Telangana, put stress for the principle of “Jo Kaha Hai Woh Karte Hain (we do what we say)”, contrasting it with unfulfilled promises of AAP in Delhi and BJP in the center. To strengthen his painting, Congress presented fresh and young faces and focused on reliving his central voting bank.
According to the data of the Electoral Officer (CEO) of Delhi, 1.56 million voters will cast their vote at 13,766 electoral centers. Among the total voters, 83.76 Lakh are men, 72.36 Lakh are women and 1,267 are third genre voters.
In the electoral participation of the Delhi Assembly elections in 2020 it stood at 62.82 percent, 4.65 percent lower than 67.47 percent in 2015. In 2013, participation was 66.02 percent, 8.42 percent higher than 57.6 percent in 2008.
Key constituencies
The strength of the Office of the Principal Minister has remained the Fort of Arvind Kejriwal since 2020 when he came with a ferino margin of more than 21,000 votes. Once again, the candidate of the main minister of the AAM AADMI party, Kejriwal, has to face his opponent to the candidate BJP Parvesh Verma, who was a strong and aggressive activist. The Congress presented Sandeep Dikshit, son of former Prime Minister Sheila Dikshit.

Delhi Metro to start the services at 4 am
To facilitate surveys, the Delhi Metro will begin operating in all lines from its terminal stations at 4 in the morning on the day of voting and cash to support the staff deployed for the electoral service.
The trains will operate at a frequency of 30 minutes in all lines until 6 am after 6 am, regular subway services will resume for the rest of the day.
In addition, to help voting officials and personnel to return late after the electoral service, the last subway services in all lines will extend during the night between February 5 and 6.
The extension will be as follows: In the red line, the last service will be extended from 11 pm to 12 am on the yellow line, from 11 pm to 11:30 pm between the city center of Millennium Gurugram and Samaypur Baldi; and from 11 pm to 11:45 pm between Samaypur Baldi and the Gurugram of the city center of Millennium.
The moment on the blue line will be extended until 11.50 pm, while the moment has spread at 12 am in the Violet line and the 1 am, added the Delhi Metro statement.
