New Delhi: When a hesitant Muskan sat on her unconscious husband’s chest, her lover Sahil gave her a knife and showed her how to drive it. “You have to stab him in the heart three times,” he ordered a promise of a new life.
Sahil, along with his lover Muskan Rastogi, is accused of the murder of Muskan’s husband, former Merchant Marine officer Saurabh Rajput.
Room full of satanic symbols
Sahil’s room offered a look at his dark and disturbing psyche. A space with little light with broken walls, full of satanic symbols, cigarettes and works of art that represent drug use. The victim’s family believes that Sahil’s obsession with the hidden played a role in the murder, with Saurabh Rajput’s mother, Renu Devi, claiming that his son was killed as part of a tantric ritual.
In Sahil’s room, a sheet covered the window, and a sofa was against the wall. Between graffiti there was a message: “You can’t stumble with us.” The room had dispersed liquor lacs.
‘Muskan an addict’
On March 4, Rajput was allegedly drugged, stabbed, dismembered, and its remailed remains inside a drum full of cement. Muskan and Sahil embarked on a holiday at Himachal Pradesh, wearing Saurabh’s phone to deceive their family. The crime was discovered two weeks later when Muskan finally confessed to his parents, who informed the police.
Police sources told the news agency PTI suggesting that Sahil exercised psychological control over Muskan, isolate her from her six -year -old daughter and turn her into an addict. Muskan’s parents accused him of catching her in her network of superstitions. The neighbors also remembered their mysterious behavior, carrying Kurts with ‘Mahakal’ inscriptions, feeding to street cats and keeping their room wrapped in the dark. Sketches of ominal figures adorned their walls, reinforcing their disturbing presence.

“Sahil’s hidden practices dominated Muskaan’s mind in such a way that he began to keep his six -year -old daughter away. Sahil had turned Muskaan into a addict and completely superstitious,” said the victim’s mother.
‘He addressed Saurabh’s heart three times’
Muskan, in her statement to the police, admitted that Sahil forced her to commit the murder. He supposedly said: “You have to kill Saurabh if we want to start a new life.” On the night of the crime, he ordered Muskan to sit in Saurabh’s chest before delivering a knife. When she doubted, he guided her hand to stab her unconscious husband three times in her heart.
“Sahil got Muskan to kill her husband. First, she made her sit on Saurabh’s chest. Then she brought a kitchen knife, she showed her how to drive it and ordered her to insert the knife into Saurabh’s heart three times,” the source told PTI.
The investigations also revealed that Muskan manipulated Sahil by creating a false identification of Snapchat that passes through his deceased mother. Through this, she convinced her that her mother wanted Saurabh to die.
The researchers discovered that Muskan and Sahil had reconnected in 2019 through a WhatsApp school group, reviving an old relationship. By November 2023, Muskan had supposedly begun to plan the murder of Saurabh, PTI reported. Before her return from London in February, she bought sedatives and knives under the appearance of needing them to cut the chicken. He also tried to find a place to get rid of the body.
Sp City Ayush Vikram Singh revealed that Saurabh had been separated from her family since she married Muskan, which she believed would help cover up her disappearance. Finally, her plan failed, and both she and Sahil now face a trial for a crime that investigators say it was as horrible as it was planned methodically.
