Pakistan will be the host of Sri Lanka for a series of one-day international parties (ODI) in Rawalpindi of Novermber 11-15, the Pakistan Cricket Board announced Monday (PCB).
A day before, the PCB announced that it was scheduled to be the host of Sri Lanka and Afghanistan for an International T20 T20 (T20I) for the first time from November 17 to 29 in Lahore and Rawalpindi.
In a press release, the PCB said that this would be the first bilateral bilateral series of Sri Lankist in Pakistan since 2019, when they last visited a series of three games that the green shirts won 2-0, with the first ODI in Karachi abandoned due to the rain.
“Sri Lankist’s most recent visit to Pakistan arrived in 2023, when they participated in the ACC Asia Cup and played against Afghanistan in Lahore,” said the press release.
The PCB reiterated that the first series of the nation will take place after Odi matches, while the green shirts will house two games of the ICC World Testing Championship and six white ball games against South Africa from October 12 to November 8.
The International Cricket had dried in Pakistan after a 2009 attack against the Sri Lanka team bus in Lahore. Consequently, green shirts were forced to play international matches in neutral places such as the United Arab Emirates.
In 2017, the International Crick gradually returned to Pakistan with green shirts playing against the ICC World XI in a series of three international T20.
Earlier this year, the country was the host of the Champions ICC trophy in February and March, although India played its games in Dubai. It was the first time that Pakistan organized a CPI event after 1996.
