The son of the “Walking Dead” star, Norman Reedus, was arrested and accused after an alleged assault in an apartment in New York City on Saturday.
Mingus Reedus, 25, declared himself innocent of five positions on Saturday, according to judicial records. The model faces third degree assault charges, assault recklessly that causes injury, criminal breathing obstruction, second grade harassment and aggravated harassment.
The officers responded to an assault in Progreso in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan at 8:40 am on Saturday morning, said the New York Police Department. A 33 -year -old woman was observed with “minor wounds” on her neck and leg.
She was transported to the Bellevue Hospital and Mingus Reedus was arrested, police said.
In a statement to NBC News on Sunday, Mingus Reedus’s lawyer, Priya Chaudhry, insisted that the innocence of his client would be clarified as the facts of the case arise.
“Despite what the prosecutor said in the Court, which is not evidence, they chose to accuse Mingus of crimes minor or less,” said Chaudhry. “This says a lot, and much stronger than the comments on the court without support from the prosecutor.”
He also pointed out that the judge released Mingus Reedus in his own recognition, “without bail or supervision.”
Mingus Reedus is Norman Reedus’s son and the Helena Christensen model. He accepted a guilt in 2022 after being accused of assaulting a woman at the San Gennaro Festival in the Little Italy of New York City, according to E! News.
The woman claimed that Mingus Reedus hit her in the face after a verbal discussion, but told the New York Daily News that the woman and her friends “swarmed” after running into their group of friends. The incident described as an accident.
