A soldier was martyred in an operation that left four dead terrorists in the district of Ismail Khan of Kyber Pakhtunkhwa, the wing of the military media said Thursday in a statement.

According to the ISPR, weapons and ammunition were seized from dead terrorists, who actively participated in the terrorist activity in the area.

The ISPR said that the security personnel carried out the operation on the night of April 10 to 11 about the reported presence of Khawarij.

Militant violence and security operations intensified in the country in March, with the number of militant attacks that exceed 100 for the first time since November 2014, according to data published by the Institute of Conflict Studies and Security of Pakistan (PICSS).
In KP, at least 206 people were killed, including 49 security personnel, 34 civilians and 123 militants, while 115 were injured, with 63 security personnel and 49 civilians among them, according to the PICSS report.
