Security personnel killed six terrorists in an intelligence -based operation (IBO) in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa district in Waziristan, said the military media wing in a statement on Friday.
According to Public Relations between Services (ISPR), the Security Forces carried out the operation in the Ghulam Khan Kalay area for the reported presence of terrorists.
“During the behavior of [the] operation, their own troops effectively compromised the Khwarij Location, as a result of which, six Khwarij They were sent to hell, ”said the ISPR, using the term by designating terrorists.
The statement added that weapons and ammunition were seized of dead terrorists, who “remained actively involved in numerous activities against security forces, as well as the murder of innocent civilians.”

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces for his “successful operation” in Waziristan del Norte.
“We will continue the war on terrorism until its complete eradication,” said Prime Minister in a statement. “I, together with the whole nation, pay tribute to the armed forces of Pakistan for their unwavering resolution by defending the homeland.”
President Asif Ali Zardari issued a separate statement, in which he promised to continue the operation against Fitna-al-Khwarij And he said that “the whole nation is linked against terrorism,” Pakistan radio reported.
The Interior Ministry paid tribute to security forces to carry out the operation.
“The efforts of the security forces to establish peace are commendable,” said the Ministry in X. “The nation is shoulder shoulder with security forces to eliminate Kharijita terrorists.”
Terrorist attacks have increased since the Tehreek–i-Taliban Pakistan group broke a high-fragile fire agreement with the government in 2022.
On Monday, security forces killed 10 terrorists in an Ibo in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Khyber district, said the army’s media wing.
An ISPR statement said the security forces made an IBO in the general area of BAGH of the district at night between Sunday and Monday based on a reported terrorist presence.
He added that the troops “effectively committed” terrorists in their location, because 10 of them were “sent to hell.”
A security report, published last month by the group of experts based in Islamabad, Pak Institute for Peace Studies, showed that in 2024, the number of terrorist attacks reached levels comparable to the security situation in 2014 or before.
He said that while terrorists no longer controlled specific territories within Pakistan as they did in 2014, the predominant insecurity in parts of KP and Baluchistan was “alarming.”
He said that more than 95 percent of the terrorist attacks recorded in 2024 concentrated in KP and Baluchistan. KP registered the largest number of terrorist incidents in the country in 2024, with 295 attacks.
Meanwhile, the attacks by several insurgent groups of Baloch prohibited, mainly the Baluchistan Liberation Army and the Baluchistan Liberation Front, saw an amazing increase of 119 percent, representing 171 incidents in Baluchistan, he said.
