Shakira said in X that he is hospitalized and will have to postpone his concert scheduled on Sunday in Peru.
The singer said she had to go to the emergency room on Saturday night for an abdominal problem. Until his position on Sunday afternoon, he said he was still hospitalized.
He pointed out that doctors who take care of her told her that “he is not in good condition to act tonight.”
Shakira offered no more details about his condition.
“I am very sad of not being able to get on stage today. I have been waiting to meet with my incredible fans here in Peru,” Shakira wrote. “I hope to be released and well tomorrow, so I can act.”
She said she and her team are already working to schedule a new concert date for fans.
Shakira was scheduled to play her “Women no longer crying world in National Stadium in Lima, Peru, Sunday night. According to the calendar of the tour on its website, it is also supposed to play at the stadium on Monday night before heading to Colombia later in the week. It is not yet clear if Shakira will be authorized to play on Monday.
Only a few weeks ago, Shakira took the stage of the Grammy in Los Angeles to act.
