Supposedly, seven police personnel of two police stations were kidnapped in two separated incidents on Sunday while patrolling in the Waziristan district of the southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, police said.
The police officer of the district of Waziristan Superior (DPO) Arshad Khan confirmed the incident and said the efforts are underway to locate the police who disappeared during the Routine patrol.
“Seven police personnel patrolled when unidentified people took them,” said Dpo Arshad Dawn.com.
He said that three police officers, Insaf, Abid and Ismail, were patrolling in the limits of the Ladha Police Station when they disappeared.
In a separate but similar incident, four police officers disappeared from Tanga Chagmalai in the limits of the Sarwakai police station. They include the sub -inspector Abdul Khaliq, and Irfanullah, Habibulla and Imran agents.
The police officer said that no information has been received about the missing police and that a search operation is being carried out to locate them.
Pakistan has witnessed an increase in terrorist activities during the past year, especially in KP and Baluchistan, after the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) outlaw (TTP) ended its high fire with the government in November 2022.
This occurs a day after nine terrorists died and three security officers were injured during a fire exchange while the security forces and police carried out a joint operation in the Zargari Shinawari area of Hagu.
“Hugu Dpo Khalid Khan, the Officer of the Doaba Station (SHO) station and a security forces officer were injured in the fire exchange,” a statement from the KP Police General Inspector (IGP) Zulfiqar Hameed Readed.
On June 24, two soldiers were martyred and 11 terrorists of “Indian power” were killed during an intelligence -based operation (IBO) in the South Wazirist district, said the wing of media of the military hand.
A statement of public relations between services (ISPR) said the troops effectively compromised the location of the terrorists and that “11 khwarij sponsored by India” were killed, while seven were injured. During the intense fire exchange, Major Syed Moiz Abbas Shah and Lance Naik Jibranullah “fought galantely and paid the final sacrifice,” he added.
Pakistan took second place in the 2025 global terrorism index, with the number of deaths in terrorist attacks that increased by 45 percent during the past year to 1,081.
KP has seen an increasing trend of incidents related to terrorism. Faced with the growing attacks of militants, security forces have also intensified anti -terrorist operations in KP and Baluchistan.
