A high civil judge and a lawyer were killed on Tuesday by unknown motorcyclists near the Rashakai area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Shera’s district when they returned from Mardan, according to the police.
Newshera District Police officer (DPO) Abdur Rasheed said Dawn.com that the victims were traveling from Mardan when the assailants attacked their car.
He said the bodies were transferred to the Nowshera medical complex, where they were later identified as Mohammad Hayat, a superior civil judge in the District Courts of Mardan and resident of Bahrein de Swat, and lawyer Khalid Khan, resident of Malandara of the District of Mardan.
The DPO said it was said that the incident was of personal enmity as revenge for the murder of a relative recently in the Malandoi area of the Mardan district.
He added that there was a first information report in the case and additional investigation would begin.
The KP Police General Inspector, Zulfiqar Hameed, realized the incidents and requested a report by the authorities.
Armed drug traffickers opened fire against a mobile squad of the Intelligence Office Impxion (EIB) in the Taro Pabbi area of Nowshera in the early hours of Sunday. As a result, Iftikhar and Mujahid agents were martyred. The driver of the vehicle, Shabbir, also lost his life in the attack.
Funeral prayers for martyred staff were offered with all honors in Peshawar police lines on Sunday morning.
