Three terrorists were killed after the security forces carried out an intelligence -based operation (IBO) in the general area of the city of Tobat in the Keh district of Baluchistan, said the wing of military media in a statement on Tuesday.
According to public relations between services (ISPR), the forces made an IBO, effectively compromising the location of the terrorists.
The statement said that “after an intense fire exchange, three terrorists were successfully neutralized.”
He said that weapons, ammunition and explosives also recovered from the terrorists who participated in multiple activities against the agencies of application of the law and the innocent civilians in the area.
“Disinfecting operations are being carried out to neutralize any other terrorist present in the area,” said Ispr, added that the forces are still determined “to frustrate attempts to sabotage peace, stability and progress of Baluchistan.”
Pakistan has witnessed an increase in terrorist activities during the past year, especially in KP and Baluchistan, after the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan proscribing ended its fire with the government in November 2022.
Militant violence and security operations intensified in March, with the number of militant attacks that exceed 100 for the first time since November 2014, according to a report by the Institute of Conflict Studies and Security of Pakistan.
Pakistan took second place in the 2025 global terrorism index, with the number of deaths in terrorist attacks that increased by 45 percent during the past year to 1,081.
