The school shooting brings tragedy, questions and demand for action
The shooting in a Catholic Church in Minneapolis that killed two children and wounded 17 people has left a shaking community and the authorities seeking answers about why the attack occurred.
The children who died were 8 and 10 years old. Among the injured were another 14 children and three adult parishioners. Minneapolis police chief Brian O’Hara said they are expected to survive.

O’Hara said just before 8:30 am, Robin Westman, 23, approached next to the armed church with a rifle, shotgun and gun. Westman fired dozens of rounds through the side windows of the Church of the Annunciation Catholic School, pointing to children attending Mass. The shooter died from a self -inflicted gunshot wound, O’Hara said.
The mayor of Minneapolis, Jacob Frey, called the attack a tragedy and demanded that political leaders take measures after another shooting in the mass school.
“These are public servants and leaders not only have words, but also have actions attached to those words,” Frey told Tom flames from NBC News.
The FBI director, Kash Patel, said the shooter was “a man” born with a different name. Westman’s name change to Robin was awarded in 2020 when he was 17 years old.
“Anyone who is using this … as an opportunity to village our trans community, or any other community, has lost its sense of common humanity,” Frey said.
Westman posted online videos with writings that refer to suicide, “extremely violent thoughts and ideas,” and an apology for his family, according to officials responsible for enforcing the law they reported on the matter.
The authorities are working to determine a reason. The police were aware of a “manifesto” that the suspect had raised to be released on YouTube that has since been withdrawn.

The greatest shaking in the CDC highlights the tumultuous time for the agency
First, an X position of the Department of Health and Human Services arrived saying that Susan Monaz was no longer the director of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, which led to the resignation of at least four senior officials of the agency.

The massive Russian attack against the capital of Ukraine kills at least 15
