Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is scheduled to be released from prison in May 2028

Sean “Diddy” Combs is expected to spend approximately three years in federal prison, according to federal inmate records.

Combs was sentenced earlier this month to 50 months in prison for two counts of interstate prostitution, with credit for time served while awaiting trial this summer. His expected release date is May 8, 2028, according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons.

Combs was acquitted of more serious charges of extortion and sex trafficking. He pleaded not guilty and has maintained his innocence.

He has been detained since his arrest in September 2024.

Prosecutors had pushed for Combs to serve 11 years in prison, although this is Combs’ first criminal conviction. In addition to the prison sentence, the judge also ordered a $500,000 fine and five years of supervised release.

Combs’ attorneys said they hoped to appeal the judge’s ruling.
