Saudi Arabia has announced that visitors and residents who have any type of visa can now perform Umrah while they are in the kingdom, a statement from the Ministry of Haj and Umrah said on Sunday.
According to the Saudi press agency, the Ministry has indicated that people who have “personal and family visit visas, electronic tourists visas, traffic visas, work visas and other types of visas” can perform Umrah in the kingdom during their stay.
The Ministry said the measure was part of the kingdom’s efforts to rationalize the procedures for Umrah artists and expand access to services within the Haj and Umrah system, in support of the objectives of the Saudi vision 2030.
“This step reflects the continuous commitment of the kingdom to facilitate the arrival of Muslims around the world to make their rituals with ease and tranquility,” said the statement.
Haj, one of the fundamental pillars of Islam, is carried out every year by millions of Muslims around the world. Pakistan receives one of the highest Haj quotas in Saudi Arabia.
In July, the Federal Cabinet formally approved the HAJ 2026 policy, describing key, financial and logistics measures for the pilgrimage season.
