Nueva Delhi: The President of the Indian Congress abroad (IOC), Sam Pitroda, who seems to be wrapped forever in controversy, was more caught in political fire about his latest comments on China. His comments triggered a strong response from the BJP. The spokesman for the party, Sudhanshu Trivedi, said: “Sam Pitroda has openly revealed the agreement of the Congress party with China. The type of declaration given by him is a deep blow to the identity, diplomacy and sovereignty of India.”
The BJP has demanded a clear clarification of the Congress party about Pitroda’s statements. “Now there is no escape route for Congress. They must go out with an explanation,” said Trivedi, stating that Pitroda’s words aligned with the opinions of the multimillion -dollar investor George Soros, whom the BJP has frequently accused of influencing Indian politics.
