Montañero Saad Munawar became the first Pakistani on Saturday to accumulate the highest mountain in the world, Mount Everest (8,848.86 meters), from its north face.

Munawar’s official Facebook account confirmed the feat, writing that “he lifted the green flag at the top of [the] Higher peak in the world. ”
“This is the first time that a Pakistani peak to Mount Everest on the north side,” added the post. “Saad has safely descended to camp 3 for the night. Requesting sentences for safe descent back to the base camp for the next few days.”
According to the climbers, the route to the north face of Summit Everest begins in the Tibet, a different route of most mountaineers who ascend from the Nepalese side.
In addition, according to the Mountaineering website ExplorerswebChinese authorities only began issuing permits to accumulate North’s face last January.
Adding the North Everest avoids the Khumbu ice box, a dangerous section on the southern side, making it safer in that aspect.
Mingma G, owner of the Imagine Nepal Expedition team of which Munawar was part, said Dawn.com That Saad Munawar and eight other foreign climbers successfully climbed from Everest from the north side on Saturday morning.
“Saad recently began to climb mountains at great altitude and has already conquered Aconcagua, Elbrus, Kilimanjaro and Lobuche Peak in Nepal,” he added.
Karrar Haidri, secretary of the Alpine Club of Pakistan, also congratulated Munawar in a statement.
“We are immensely proud to share that Saad Bin Munawar has made the story as the first and only Pakistani at the summit of Mount Everest (8,848.86 meters) through the challenging route on the north side, a feat that places it among the elite mountaineers of the world,” said the statement.
The club’s statement added that Munawar is a “renowned adventurer, mountaineer and author [and] It has long been a source of inspiration in the adventure community of Pakistan. ”
“Before this ascent of Everest, it was the first Pakistani in Summit Mt Aconcagua, the highest peak out of Asia,” the statement added. “His leadership in expeditions and literature of mountaineering continues to motivate a new generation of climbers.”
In his statement, Imagine Nepal also congratulated the other climbers, including three women, for reaching the summit from the north side.
“Dr. Simone Molter of Germany conquered his first 8000m peak, fulfilling his dream after years of preparation and determination,” Imagine Nepal wrote.

The other climbers included Justin Moore Walker from the United States, Dawa Gyalje Sherpa, Ang Mingma Sherpa, Sonam Tashi Sherpa, Ngima Dorjee Sherpa, Lakpa Tenzing Sherpa, Dawa Kami Sherpa and Thupen Topchen Sherpa.
