Rudy Giuliani satisfies judgment in defamation case brought by former Georgia election workers

Rudy Giuliani has “satisfied” a sentence against him after defamed two former Georgia electoral workers accusing them falsely of electoral fraud after the 2020 presidential contest, according to a presentation of the Federal Court on Monday.

The sentence was satisfied on Friday, said the presentation, and occurs after Giuliani reached a liquidation agreement with Ruby Freeman and his daughter, Wandrea “Shaye” Moss in January.

A jury had granted former electoral workers $ 148 million in damages after a four -day trial in December 2023. The prize was subsequently reduced to $ 146 million by a judge.

The presentation of Monday’s court quoted interests and lawyer fees in addition to that figure.
