NEW DELHI: TIRUMALA TRAUPATI Devasthanam On Wednesday, he initiated an action against 18 employees for participating in non -Hindu religious activities, while participating in TTD festivals and rituals.

Management said the decision is aligned with TTD’s commitment to preserve the spiritual holiness of his temples and religious.
TTD is an independent government confidence that manages the Tirumala Venkateswara temple in Tipruati, the richest Hindu sanctuary in the world.
Over the years, the TTD law has been modified three times to stipulate that only Hindus must be used by the Temple Board and its affiliated institutions. A government order issued in 1989 also demanded that the appointments for the positions administered by TTD be limited to the Hindus.
The decision is supported by article 16 (5) of the Constitution, which allows institutions of a religious or denominational nature to use members of their own religion. In the same way, rule 3 of the institutions and endowments of Caritative and Hindu AP, the subordinate service rules establish that employees of religious institutions must profess Hindu faith.
This legal support was reinforced in November 2023 by the Superior Court of Andhra Pradesh when confirmed rule 3, confirming that the trusted joints are empowered to demand service conditions, including the requirement that employees follow the Hindu religion.
