The former Senator of the Massachusetts Republican Party, Scott Brown, is doing another career for the Senate in New Hampshire.
Brown ran unsuccessfully to the Senate in New Hampshire in 2014, after representing Massachusetts in the Senate from 2010 to 2013. After his failed race of New Hampshire, Brown served as ambassador of President Donald Trump in New Zealand and Samoa during Trump’s first mandate.
Brown promoted his experience in his release video, also saying: “Like many of you, I am worried about where the country is heading.”
“New Hampshire is an incredible place to live, work and raise a family,” Brown said. “We have been blessed by two great governors: Chris Sununu and Kelly Ayotte. But in Washington, we have not been represented by the right people.”
Brown then directly pointed to the Democratic representative Chris Pupas, who runs for the Senate to replace the democratic senator withdrawal Jeanne Shaheen.
“For four years, Chris Pupas has backed Joe Biden when he opened the border, led the cost of everything and made life simply unavailable,” Brown said.
Brown also praised Trump, saying: “The border sealed, faced China and restored our position in the world,” showing a Trump image in the situation room taken as Trump authorized strikes against Iran.
Pupas responded to Brown’s announcement, saying in a statement that Brown “is with special corporate interests, supports efforts to eliminate medical care coverage of tens of thousands of state state statements and supports the reckless tariffs of President Trump that the small companies of New Hampshire are talking against each day.”
“While Scott Brown looks for another opportunity to make the offers of Wall Street and blindly support President Trump and his agenda, I will always put New Hampshire first,” Tapas added.
The open seat race could be competitive next year. Former Vice President Kamala Harris won the State at 3 percentage points in 2024.
