Reko Diq paid $28m in taxes to Balochistan – Pakistan

Quetta: Reko-Diq Mining Corporation (RMDC) has paid more than $ 28 million to the federal government in tax, royalties and community investments, their officials said Thursday.

The details were shared during an informative media session on the progress of the Reko-DIQ project.

Communications manager Samia Ali Shah said that payments counted as of June 2025 include $ 17.5 million in royalties, almost $ 3.8 million in taxes collected on behalf of employees and other parties and $ 7.2 million in community investment.

Mrs. Shah explained that the Baluchistan government has a 25 percent association in the project without making any direct investment. The General Company is a 50-50 association between the Government of Pakistan and RDMC.

The informative session also highlighted the company’s efforts in the local development of the workforce.

Present at the event were students who had just returned to Pakistan after completing 18 months of training in Argentina, sponsored by the company.

“Young talent to train abroad comprises women 14 percent,” Shah said, added that the project has long -term benefits for the region.
