Rajouri deaths: Delhi AIIMS experts meet patients, record clinical history | India News


JAMMU: A team of experts from Aiims Delhi Sunday met with 11 patients undergoing treatment for a Mysterious disease In the Rajouri district of J & K, which has charged 17 lives so far, and collected samples of their sealed houses and their surroundings in Badhaal people.
No new cases have been reported in the last nine days since Badhaal village after 17 died between December 7 and January 19.
A team of five members, headed by the Director of AIIMS, Dr. M Srinivas, and included the Professor of Clinical Toxicology Dr. A Shariff, the additional emergency professor Dr. Jamahed Nayer and the additional professor Pediatric Dr. Jagdish Prasad Meena Meena , he arrived in Rajouri on Friday night.
“In addition to the Aiims Delhi team, a team of PGI Chandigarh experts is also investigating the cause of toxicity,” said a source.
The district authorities have changed around 87 families, which comprise 364 people, from Badhaal to three designated isolated centers: Govt Nursing College, Govt Boys Higher Secondary School and Govt Medical College in the city of Rajouri.
The authorities have also declared Badhaal Village to ‘containment zone‘And they imposed prohibitory orders in all public and private meetings.
