Nueva Delhi: Congress appointed Rajash Kumar on Tuesday, the new president of his Bihar unit, replacing Akhilesh Prasad Singh before the elections of the state assembly. Kumar is a MLA, while Singh is a deputy of Rajya Sabha.
“The president of Congress appointed Rajesh Kumar, MLA, as the president of the Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee with an immediate effect,” said Secretary General (Organization) of AICC KC Venufopal in a statement.
“The party appreciates the contribution of the outgoing president of the PCC, Dr. Akhilesh Prasad Singh, deputy,” said the statement.
The change occurs shortly after the appointment of Krishna Allavou as in charge of the affairs of parties in Bihar, where the surveys of the Assembly will be presented at the end of this year.
