Queen Elizabeth II’s favorite dogs race for glory in Britain’s Corgi Derby

London – Some of the fastest canines in four very short legs have run for glory in the annual Scotland Derby.

Musselburgh Corgi Derby’s racecourse was first held in 2022 to mark the 70 years of Queen Elizabeth II on the throne. The late monarch was a devoted Fotatic of Corgi who had almost 30 of the race over the decades, along with some Dorgis, a corgi-dachshund cross.

Juno, four years old beat a field of 16 people with handsome dogs dressed in bright sweaters during the 230 -feet race (70 meters) on Saturday at the Racecourse on the outskirts of Edinburgh. She came from behind in the last section to overcome last year’s winner, Rodney.
