LAHORE: The support of the Punjab government to a controversial YouTuber, which recently caused indignation with comments aimed at Sindh, has not only angered the PPP, but has also triggered a war of words between the two partners of the coalition in social networks.
A Permanent Senate Committee recently summoned YouTuber Rizwan Razi, also known as reasoned, and interrogated him for making derogatory comments about the people of Sindh. Subsequently, the panel ordered the Telecommunications Authority of Pakistan (PTA) to block its YouTube channel about what it called “hate speech” against the people of Sindh.
Committee members also questioned how a presenter who appeared in the state PTV news He could make such comments on his personal YouTube channel.

However, the Punjab government and Prime Minister Maryam Nawaz openly came out in support of Razi, with a social media campaign launched to express solidarity with him.
The PPP strongly opposed the position of the Maryam administration, questioning how could support a man who had openly demonstrated hate towards Sindh and fed provincialism.
“It is very unfortunate that the PML-N and the Punjab government have launched a campaign in support of a sick man,” Sindh’s Minister of Information, Sharjeel Memon, in a position, said on Thursday.
He added that this sent a negative message to Sindh, accusing Punjab government to try to divert public attention from his poor performance during floods.
The PPP Punjab executive member, Ahsan Rizvi, also condemned the campaign of the X accounts backed by PML-N, qualifying it as “absolutely unacceptable.”
“It is unfortunate that the social networks of the PML-N support a partial youtuber. Describing someone who gets involved in blackmail and ethnic prejudice as a journalist is an insult to journalism,” Rizvi said.
The controversy has become a hot issue on social networks, with many users urging the Punjab government not to support an “anti -indh man” simply because he addresses the opponents of the PML-N.
In a statement, CM Maryam Nawaz said that even if Razi had used an inappropriate phrase, he showed “good character” by apologizing to an open heart.
“Those who feed the provincial prejudice and spread the narratives full of hate are never questioned. Rejecting the policy of hate and the narrative of the provincial division is the only way to make Pakistan stronger,” he said.
The Minister of Information and Culture of Punjab, Azma Bokhari, also emphasized that his party had never been involved in the provincialism’s policy, nor had he played the Rio or Dam letter.
