Patiala: The representative of the farmers in Punjab accused the Police and the AAP government of the state of looting their belongings after their protest fields were demolished last week, while the key protester Jagjit Singh Dallewal remained in critical condition when his hunger strike entered his 118th day.
“Tractors, trailers, even refrigerators, ACS, investors, beds and gas cylinders: everything that was under police supervision has now been found in the houses of the supporters of the legislators of the AAP”, allegedly BKU (Ekta Sidhupur) Gurdeep Singh Chahal, demanding compensations for the losses.
He also claimed that tractors and stolen cars were sold openly to cheap rates, with the complicit police of their misappropriation.
Police have recovered six tractors stolen so far, three from Loh Simply Village, and one of the Adeas of Suhron and Khandoli, according to the DSP Ghanaur Harmanpreet Singh. Police have registered three cases related to robberies.
The Punjab police discreetly moved Dallewal, 70, who runs SKM (non -political), to a private hospital in Patiala under the narrow Sunday of Security. He stopped drinking water on March 19 to intensify his protest against what he calls government oppression.
Dallewal has been on hunger strike since November 26 of last year demanding legal guarantees for MSP and other farmers’ rights. The representative of the farmers has promised to fight. “The government should not think that this protest is over,” Chahal said. “The struggle for farmers will continue until the last breath.”
