Karachi: By qualifying their imprisoned leader “a symbol of resistance”, the workers of Pakistan Tehreek-I-Insaf (PTI) organized a great demonstration in the metropolis on Sunday and demanded that the founder of the party and former prime minister Imran Khan Liberawith.
The participants also condemned the Indian aggression, describing it as flagrant provocation and a violation of international standards.
The rally, which began from the office of the party called Insaf House in Sharea Faisal, attracted a large number of PTI workers and supporters from different parts of the city.
However, when the demonstration arrived near the Finance & Trade Center (FTC), it found that the city administration and the police blocked the main road that leads to the ‘Red Zone’ when parking the police of the police and the water tankers in Sharea Faisal.
The closure of the road caused a mass traffic jam. Consequently, the PTI Rally had to change its route, took a left turn to Kala Pul and arrived in Nishan–Pakistan near Seaview through DHA.

The rally won impulse as the PTI workers and supporters at the district level joined the main procession.
The demonstration was directed by the president of PTI-Sindh, Halem Adil Sheikh, and attended the president of the city Raja Azhar, Dr. Masroor Siyal, the Secretary General of Karachi, Arsalan Khalid and the Senior Vice President Faheem Khan, along with other senior leaders.
The participants carried national and party flags, singing slogans such as “Pakistan Zindabad” and “Imran Khan Paindabad”.
The speakers and participants of the demonstration demanded the immediate release of the founding president of the Imran Khan party.
They described Mr. Khan not only as a political leader but as the true voice of the people. They reiterated their commitment to peaceful protest and national solidarity.
In a symbolic movement, the participants also raised an effigy of the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi using a crane, as a message against what they called the acts of cowardly aggression of India.
The crowd also sang slogans against Modi and expressed his signature resolution to defend the country as a united nation.
Speaking on the occasion, the president of PTI-Sindh, Haleem Adil Sheikh, demanded the immediate release of former Prime Minister Khan, calling him “the true leader of the Pakistani nation” and “a symbol of resistance against oppression.”
He urged the Judiciary and the Government to defend justice and democracy by ending what he described as political victimization.
Sheikh strongly condemned the recent actions of India, labeling them as a shameless provocation and a violation of international standards.
“We want to send a clear message today that the people of Pakistan are linked against any threat to our sovereignty,” he said.
“This rally is not just a protest, it is a statement that the nation meets its armed forces and against the cowardly aggression of the Modi government,” he added.
Later, the participants dispersed peacefully after offering prayers for the national unity, the security forces and the early liberation of PTI imprisoned leadership.
